Gila and Joel Dar fell into chocolate by chance. In late 2014, Gila, a visual artist and dancer and Joel, a film producer, decided to leave their country of origin and begin a new path in life. An unexpected turn in events had taken them to Costa Rica. It was a Blessing in disguise: During their 2 years in the land of birds, rainforests and Cacao, the couple learned how to make chocolate.
In 2016 they started DAR Chocolate. All their chocolates are made with organic, minimum ingredients, using only fairly traded, premium cacao.
