Orange Bitters
Orange bitters is abundant in classic cocktail recipes. Our version -- fruit-forward, floral, and softly spiced -- offers an alternative to the one-note orange bitters that dominate the market. The secret’s in the hand-peeled orange zest, whose citrus oil smooths the edges of an exactingly calibrated mix of black walnut, gentian, clove, and cardamom. Evocative of fragrant orange groves, it’ll add new depth to any cocktail that calls for it, and has the versatility to match to any spirit. We’re personally very fond of what it does to a gin martini.
Ingredients: orange peel, black walnut, gentian, clove, cardamom
Pairings: Whiskey, Bourbon, Vodka, Rum, or Gin
Our Story
Steeped in the magic of natural remedies, half Norwegian and half Korean, Nick Andresen learned about both Scandinavian folk medicine and Asian herbal tonics handed down for generations. Growing up exploring the outdoors and learning to harness the power of plants, he went on to become a chemist in Colorado, where he befriended an herbalist and a mixologist.
Together, they created bold bitters designed to be powerful potions that could “heal the soul and spruce your cocktail.”
